SOVS is delighted to announce that Dr Pauline Kang has been promoted to Senior Lecturer, effective 1 July 2020.
Pauline currently lectures in our Stage 1 Vision Science course: Seeing the work: Perspectives from Vision Science, is the undergraduate coordinator for the School and manages the Myopia Clinic at our UNSW Optometry Clinic. In Term 3 Pauline will be lecturing in one of the Myopia courses in our new Graduate Certificate in Optometry.
Pauline's research focuses on optical strategies of myopia control. In particular, exploring optical changes induced by various types of contact lenses to better understand how different contact lenses induce myopia control effects. Her research extends to exploring changes in visual function, binocularity and accommodation with contact lenses used for myopia control to with the aim of improving efficacy of current myopia control devices.
