Important note regarding English language requirements:
The University of New South Wales requires an IELTS score of 6.5 for enrolment in postgraduate courses. Students who barely reach this standard will have considerable difficulties in meeting course requirements for many postgraduate courses offered by the School of Optometry and Vision Science. Good English competency is therefore recommended before considering enrolment.
Important note about enrolment in specialty postgraduate courses:
It is expected that students will have strong foundational knowledge in specialty areas before their enrolment in some postgraduate courses. Before enrolment you should contact the Postgraduate Administrator (Postgraduate Coursework), for further advice. In particular, there may be additional hurdles to gain entry into the following courses:
OPTM7104 Advanced Contact Lens Studies
OPTM7205 Specialty Contact Lens Studies
OPTM7103 Behavioural Optometry 1
OPTM7203 Behavioural Optometry 2
