Principal Staff Optometrist
Anna is the Principal Staff Optometrist for Ocular Pathology and Advanced Ocular Techniques at the School of Optometry and Vision Science at UNSW. She was a first-class honours graduate of UNSW and obtained her Master of Optometry degree and Graduate Certificate in Ocular Therapeutics also from UNSW. She is extensively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and education since 2000 in areas of ocular disease, ocular therapeutics and clinical optometry; establishing online teaching programs for optometrists and medical practitioners in this field and coordinates the Ocular pathology clinic at UNSW. Anna has been the recipient of several awards including the OAA Josef Lederer Award for Excellence in Optometry and UNSW Teaching Excellence Award. She is passionate about clinical excellence, early glaucoma detection and the incorporation of sophisticated imaging technologies to optimise clinical practice and prevent irreversible vision loss.
