Study Title This study might be a good fit if you meet the following criteria

Influence of the time-of-day factor on short term ocular response to light and myopia control lenses

  • Adults with good general health, age range 18-35 years
  • Best corrected visual acuity of 20/20 or better in each eye, short-sighted (myopic spherical equivalent between 0.5D and 5D)
  • Experienced contact lens wearer
  • Have ocular health findings considered to be 'normal' (e.g. no ocular diseases, colour vision deficiency or history of eye surgery)
  • Willing to sign informed consent and┬ácomply with study schedule
  • Not using myopia control medications or devices
  • Not using melatonin or any pharmacological sleep aids
  • non-smoker

Role of Pupillary Responses in Myopia onset and Progression

  • Aged between 18-35
  • Have no ocular disease or history of ocular injury
  • Best corrected visual acuity of 20/20 or better in each eye, short sighted (myopic spherical equivalent between 0.50 to 6D)
  • No prior refractive surgery
  • No ocular or systemic medications that may affect the pupillary response
  • No history of amblyopia (lazy eye) or strabismus (eye not looking straight)
  • Able to read and comprehend English
  • Can be an experienced soft contact lens wearer or no prior contact lens wear experience

Characteristic Changes of Visual Functions using Multifocal Contact Lens

  • Aged between 18-35 years old with good general health
  • Have a 'normal' vision, measuring 6/7.5 or better with correction
  • Are an experienced soft contact lens wearer, or willing to wear a soft contact lens
  • Have a prescription between -0.50 and -4.00D, with less than -1.50D of astigmatism
  • Have not previously used rigid contact lenses
  • Have not had eye surgery
  • Have good ocular health with no eye pathology, allergies, infections, or active ocular surface disease
  • Are willing to attend two study visits
  • Have normal colour vision

Characteristic Changes of Visual Functions using Atropine Eye Drops

  • be between 18-35 years with good general and eye health
  • Do not have any known allergy to atropine drops
  • Have a prescription between -0.50 and -4.00D, with less than -1.50D of astigmatism
  • Have not used atropine eye drops within the last 2 weeks
  • Have no history or risk of glaucoma
  • Are not currently using any eye medications or anti-depression medication
  • Have 'normal' vision, measuring 6/7.5 or better with correction
  • Willing to attend two study visits
  • Have a normal colour vision

MALCOLM - MultifocAL COntact Lenses for Myopia

  • Are aged 6-12 years (inclusive)
  • Are willing to wear soft contact lenses daily
  • Have Myopia (nearsightedness)
  • Have otherwise normal vision, and good ocular and general health
  • Have not previously used any myopia control treatments for more than 1 month or within the last month
  • Does not have an eye turn, "lazy" eye, or a history of surgery or other treatments or medications which may affect eye growth or contact lens wear
  • Have no plans to move for the duration of the study (1 year)
  • Is competent enough in English to be able to fully understand the participant information and consent form or you can consent on their behalf
