We warmly welcome Professor Konrad Pesudovs to the UNSW School of Optometry and Vision Science Team.
Professor Pesudovs was recruited through the highly competitive SHARP pathway in which UNSW recruits research leaders at the top of their field of expertise.
He undertook his Optometry clinical training in Melbourne prior to undertaking his PhD at Flinders University and subsequent postdoctoral fellowships in the UK and USA.
Konrad brings a wealth of experience to the School. He previously ran the NHMRC Centre for Ophthalmology Outcomes Research at Flinders University in Adelaide and was the Foundation Chair of Optometry and Vision Science at Flinders University where he created and developed the five year optometry course for this School. He has published over 250 peer-reviewed papers and has generated grant funding in excess of $9M. Currently he sits on three editorial boards and is the President of the Australian College of Optometry.
Professor Pesudovs will be undertaking research on ophthalmic surgical outcomes, including optical, visual and patient-reported outcomes, ophthalmic epidemiology and neural adaptation.
