UNSW SOVS congratulates Dr Angelica Ly and Dr Jack Phu on their recent academic appointments as Associate Lecturers with SOVS. They will continue their work at the Centre for Eye Health.
Dr Angelica Ly is a passionate clinician-scientist with a demonstrated history of working in an academic, integrated care setting. She is skilled in clinical research, collaborative care and ocular disease and holds a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Vision Science from UNSW. Her main strength lies in driving systems-wide change for better, patient-centred care.
Dr Jack Phu is a clinician-scientist, holding the positions of associate lecturer at the School of Optometry and Vision Science, UNSW, and head of glaucoma unit at the Centre for Eye Health. He devotes his clinical time almost exclusively to the care of patients with glaucoma and angle closure disease. His teaching duties include the areas of ocular disease, ocular therapeutics and visual neuroscience. He engages in basic psychophysical and translatable clinical research, with a focus on early detection and examination of diseases of the visual pathway.
