Jaya Sowjanya Siddireddy is a Post-doctoral Research Fellow at the School of Optometry and Vision Science. Her PhD degree was conferred in 2018 from the University of New South Wales. In her PhD, Sowjanya evaluated clinical, microbiological and biochemical aspects of eyelids and their effect on comfort during contact lens wear. Sowjanya is part of Eye Research Group at School of Optometry and Vision Science, UNSW that works in close association with eye care industry to evaluate and develop innovative eye care products.
Her current post-doctoral research specializes in contact lenses, contact lens care products, dry eyes and microbiology.
Sowjanya’s research interests are inclined towards advancements of optometry procedures, ocular diagnostic procedures and use of these in exploring ocular biomarkers.
