Tuesday, 15 August, 2017 - 13:00

Jaya Sowjanya Siddireddy presented her latest research titled “The role of eyelid bacteria in contact lens discomfort” at a Cornea and Contact Lens Society of Australia (CCLSA) Chapter Event held in Brisbane on 27 July 2017. Sowjanya is the recipient of two consecutive CCLSA awards in 2015 and 2016.

A wonderful mix of clinicians, clinical researchers and students of Queensland University of Technology were present at this Chapter event in Brisbane.  This meeting showed a growing interest in microbiota of eye in contact lens practises. Other presenters on the night included Stephen Vincent and Paul Gifford who spoke about Mini Scleral lenses and Orthokeratology.
